  1. Plan and organize tasks for team members, monitor tasks' progress and take necessary action to clear roadblocks for team members to guarantee timely support/project delivery.
  2. Perform feasibility study and involve specialists from different areas to do so if deficient in the required knowledge.
  3. Assess and provide the workload required.
  4. Supervise and guide team members on each issue or enhancement.
  5. Review the work done by team members or delegate to a technical advisor to assist on source code and patch preparation review.
  6. Ensure risk assessment, software test and validation are completed prior to deployment on machine.
  7. Review software FMEA prepared by team members.
  8. Follow up with preventive actions for past quality issues.
  9. Handle escalation from manufacturing floor and field.
  10. Identify training needs for team members and arrange complementary training to fill the gap.
  11. Work closely with and to backup Software Engineering Manager when necessary.
  12. Any other ad-hoc assignments within the scope of main objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Professional engineering bachelor's degree and certifications in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Software/Mechatronics/Robotics), Computer Science, Project Management or equivalent.
  2. Required skill(s): Good background in C, C++, Python, VB.NET or C# programming languages.
  3. Minimum 4 years experience in semiconductor/machine automation industry.
  4. A strong team player.
  5. Good statistical and technical writing abilities.
  6. Effective presentation and communication skills that inspire trust and influence cooperation.
  7. Hardworking and able to handle projects under high pressure.
  8. Strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  9. Strong ethics, diplomatic, patience, good listening skills and can interact with a diverse group of individuals.
  10. Sharp problem-solving skills, creative, innovative, out-of-the-box problem solving skills.
  11. High sense of urgency for tasks assigned.
  12. Leadership and management experience are an advantage.
  13. Knowledge in developing tools to increase work efficiency would be an advantage.
