As the Head of Service, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our MRO operations, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will lead a team of skilled engineers and technicians, drive operational excellence, and foster a customer-centric culture to uphold our reputation as industry leaders in diesel engine maintenance and vessel management.
Job Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the service department, ensuring the efficient delivery of MRO services for diesel engines and vessels.
- Develop and implement service strategies that align with company goals, focusing on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain service standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety requirements.
- Optimize service processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor and analyze service performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee the resolution of complex customer issues and complaints, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and supply chain, to improve service delivery and customer experience.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Prepare and manage the service department budget, optimizing resource allocation and controlling costs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key service clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
- Proactively seek out and develop new business opportunities, including exploring government contracts and public sector partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in service management, preferably within the MRO, diesel engine, or marine industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving financial targets.
- Familiarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Certification in Project Management or other relevant certifications is a plus.
