Job Description:
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring the key strategic direction of the Company.
  • Prepare and deliver reports to track key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with department leads and Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure that the Company's business objectives are met.
  • Assist in implementing transformational initiatives that will help the Company achieve its aspirations and objectives.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify process gaps, weaknesses, and stress faced by key departments in the organisation. Suggest ways to resolve these issues smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data analytics dashboards and data management.
  • Keep close track of business performance, analyse gaps, and provide guidance or suggestions to bridge these gaps.
  • Work with business managers to ensure that key performance measurements are relevant and support the overall business direction and strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication of corporate strategies to all staff and alignment of Company KPIs.
  • Facilitate the preparation of balanced scorecard and department business plans for approval by SMT and the Board.
  • Provide or collate analyses on key industry issues and trends, competitor analyses, benchmarking, and other key indicators.
  • Prepare management reports and ad hoc reports for the CEO's office, such as quarterly dialogues, Board presentations, Townhall presentations, etc.
  • Prepare management meeting minutes.
Job Specification:
  • Degree in any discipline with a strong understanding of finance, accounting, actuarial science, or corporate strategy.
  • Mathematically inclined.
  • Exposure to coding and the ability to use analytical tools is an added advantage.
  • 3 years of experience in operational management, corporate finance, business consulting, or project and change management.
  • Relevant computer skills: Macro, Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • People management skills and strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to deal with all levels of staff, especially senior levels.
  • Project management skills.
  • Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Company operations and workarounds.
  • Awareness of trends and developments in the local and global insurance/takaful industry.
  • Knowledge of competitor practices, strategies, and financial positions.
