Assistant Manager, Business Management, FM COO

The successful candidate will support the Regional Markets Country Business Managers (CBM) in business enablement, regulatory change / business risk management, governance, and conduct / supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production and distribution of FM risk reports as per the agreed timeliness and frequency.
  2. Ensuring the reports are generated and delivered in a timely manner to the respective stakeholders.
  3. Escalation of incidents effectively and efficiently.
  4. Providing information and analysis to management committees and governance forums.
  5. Execution and delivery of the global Markets agenda locally / regionally.
  6. Partner with local support functions and stakeholders to unblock any business issues.
  7. Be the "connector" between global and local and export / import best practices.
  8. Support the FM Country Head in preparing the country Business Risk Forum (BRFs) packs and minutes.
  9. Execute controls, monitor, report and escalate operational risks where appropriate in-country.
  10. Support the Markets Country Business Managers in coordinating in-country audits.
  11. Continuously seek out process simplification and re-engineering opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  12. Keep up to date with local regulations to assess impact / business opportunities and manage any changes to business processes and infrastructure.
  13. Provide business support on dealing room management, e.g., capacity planning, business continuity, access controls, Service Level Agreements, licensing, etc.
  14. Ensure that the Markets related regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, reconciled (where relevant) and specific to the requirements.
  15. Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  16. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
  17. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
