As Sales Director, you will lead the management of strategic accounts across Malaysia, driving sales growth, strengthening customer relationships, and monitoring market trends.

You will support the Senior Sales Director in strategy, forecasting, and market analysis, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth pre- and post-sales execution. Accurate account management and reporting are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior management, customers, and government agencies.
  • Identify sales opportunities and develop strategies to convert them into sales, meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Report monthly to Senior Sales Director on sales, market updates, and operational issues.

Key Account Management & Market Expansion:

  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring current and future needs are met.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for market expansion.
  • Respond promptly to leads and customer requirements, coordinating with internal teams.
  • Independently develop customer quotations and proposals with support from relevant departments.
  • Ensure customer information is captured and kept up-to-date.
  • Submit weekly sales reports and provide updates on competitor activities.
  • Maintain records in the Revenue Monitoring System (RMS).
  • Manage customer functions from onboarding to contract management and invoice tracking.
  • Resolve billing issues and ensure collections meet contractual timelines.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and projects targeting key clients.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience, particularly in Government and Security sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Technical knowledge in satellite services and networking is a plus.
  • Engineering or computer science education is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits.
  • Solution sales background preferred.
  • Established network/relationships with government departments at both Federal and State levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Energetic, personable, with strong negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently and report to senior management.
  • Adaptable and creative in meeting changing customer demands and KPIs.
