Claims

Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.

About the role

What you need to know:

Accountabilities for the role:

  1. Handle Travel claims according to claims handling guideline.
  2. Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  3. Achieve a minimum of the quality and quantity targets.
  4. Carry out all services in a professional manner demonstrating a high degree of quality and accuracy at all times.
  5. Identify potential risks (possibility of fraud case) and ensure the company operates in the most efficient manner possible, reducing transactional costs and risks to the business.
  6. Carry out your accountabilities and objectives within the framework of AIG's procedures, policies, and processes.

Requirement

  • Knowledge of Claims processes and procedures. Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with a high level of responsibility.
  • Effective time management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet varying tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Able to work with integrity, independently or as part of a team to achieve personal and business objectives.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail.
  • Able to self-reflect/analyze, actively seek feedback to identify strengths and personal development.
