We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of** **VP - HR Consulting**.**
**Business**:HR BP DBS**
**Principal Responsibility**
As a HR Consultant you will be accountable for managing the successful delivery of people projects and initiatives that support the business strategy set out in the strategic people plans. You will work closely with Business leaders, HR Business Partners, and specialists to help design as well as deliver pragmatic solutions to solve business problems, framing complex challenges by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for our business either globally or within country adding commercial value through people projects.
The HR Consultant role is based in Malaysia serving country and regional requirements for GSC Malaysia across different Lines of Businesses. The Role sits within the DBS GSC HTC team reporting functionally to the Global Head of HR Consulting DBS GSC Tech based in London and to the Head of HR Malaysia for Entity Reporting.
Your primary focus will be in shaping & implementing effective HR strategic initiatives that will optimize our people goals & objectives through;
- Enable achievement of People priorities while aligning with business goals
- Deliver strategic, tailored HR solutions with deep understanding of leadership, talent & culture in their respective specialties which includes implementation and successful embedment of projects and solutions
- Manage programme delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
- Be able to provide oversight to how people initiatives align to the Business Strategy and relevant global/ country business/functional People Plans
- Be responsible for effective programme controls and procedures within their given initiatives
- Customer centric - Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual successes
- Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery
- Manage a team and/or multi discipline teams if appropriate to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives and role-model desired behaviours
Requirements
**Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications**
**Requirements**:
- Experience in transformation/change and/or project management roles
- Experience/in-depth knowledge of HR management principles, functions, methods & best practices
- Relevant HR and/or project management qualifications
- Role model and ambassador for HSBC behaviours, and the ability to deal assertively but sensitively with internal and external customers across a matrix environment
- Strict adherence to the requirements of confidentiality. Discretion and integrity essential
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR Strategies with business goals, working effectively in an agile manner when managing competing priorities
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet peak demands with tenacity
