**About the Role**
- Develop and clearly communicate regulatory strategies that identify regulatory requirements for product/brand launch to internal and external stakeholders complying to Malaysia Food Regulations. Ensure that products are registered/compliance in time for importation and/or sale in the stores. Product categories inclusive of but not limited to F&B, non-food store merchandise and non-merchandise, electronics, etc.
- Oversee the regulation process for products requiring governmental approval, including co
- Assess the impact and implementation of required compliance with all regulations, laws and industry policies that affects ingredients, packaging, and labelling of the products.
- Identify and advise tariff codes for accurate custom clearance according to local custom classification of the respective market.
- Act as point of contact in the HQ and coordinate with regulatory counterparts in foreign offices, industry experts, trade associations, and local and foreign government agencies in maintaining product compliance in each market.
- Provide coaching to junior colleagues or newcomers to the team.
**Key Responsibility Areas**:
**Product Registration & Regulatory Compliance**
- Update SVP and stakeholders of/or any new development regarding the related industry from time to time for any changes.
- Responsible for registration/notification/compliancy for all products that the company brings into the country according to the local regulations.
- Maintain updated record of all permits for each brand that the company imports for each market.
**Upkeep Data Management and Proper Maintain of Regulatory Document**
- Filing and documentation to be kept in proper order - for dossier (for auditing purpose).
- Ensure proper and detailed labelling requirement are met for importation and inspection purposes on products/merchandise/non-merchandise displayed in the store.
- Review and communicate current and emerging regulatory requirements.
**Other Duties and Responsibilities**
- Liaise with Logistics Department regarding new shipments.
- Support the company with presentations/proposals and other relevant information for brand principal’s product compliance strategy.
- Consistently update and keep abreast on the latest regulatory.
- Assist in any ad-hoc task or job within the company.
**Personal Development**
- Maintain at all times competent knowledge in areas of duty.
- Staff to conduct themselves in a proper and professional manner in compliance with the Code of Business Conduct.
**Key Requirements**:
**Education**
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in science related field.
**Personal Experience**
- At least 5 years working experience in regulatory management/affairs capacity, preferably in F&B industry.
**Personal Attributes**
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- High level of attention to detail and decisive decision-making
- Good networking and negotiation skill

- Team player and relationship management
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast paced environment.
