**Reports To**:

- Senior Manager, Industrial Relations

**Role Purpose**:
**Key Accountability**:

- Technical Advisory on Trade Unions - Being the main contact point in providing advice to the Management in relation to the administration of collective bargaining negotiations with trade unions, management of effective resolution of union dealings with the Company e.g. claim for recognition or non-compliance of CA, and deployment of communications & engagement plans with the trade unions. Identify requirements for new or revised policies by analyzing the implication of changes to HR legislation in Malaysia and in the other regions, identifying harmonization opportunities with the collective agreement where possible and gaining an understanding of the working environment and challenges.
- Activation and Application of trade Union Laws & Regulations
- accountable to establish a continuous engagement and consultation sessions with external stakeholders (JHEKS, Fair Work Commission, Employment Tribunal etc) on the latest laws & regulations in Malaysia and other countries to ensure compliance and define relevant mitigation plans in addressing potential trade union risks.
- Assessing On-Ground Sentiments - Lead the design and operationalization of tactical initiatives on the ground based on the analytics of the past trends and on the ground insights from the employee governing the aspects of education & awareness, compliance and driving culture of self accountability & integrity in driving a harmonious trade union relationship.
- Lead the coordination of HC at international stations - provide guidance, advice and support to the Regional HC Heads at the International Stations on matters related to the planning, execution and monitoring of HC initiatives and programmes governing the aspects of manpower planning and deployment, talent management, HC operations, union management, IR related matters and engagement programmes.

**Qualifications & Working Experience**:

- Degree in Law/Human Resources/Public Administration or any related field with 4 years of working experience in Human Resource - Union Management / IR.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- High integrity, strategic thinking and able to provide advice to Senior Management on disciplinary/litigation issues with cost avoidance and customer focus minded.
- Strong leadership quality, good communication skills and able to maintain industrial harmony.
- Able to motivate others by consistently demonstrating self motivation and positive growth pattern.
- Technical Knowledge on relevant Trade Union Acts and Industrial Relations Acts & Regulations.

**Key Challenges**:

- Timely completion of the due inquiry process.
- Training of pool and willing panel members for Disciplinary Inquiry.
- To secure witnesses for court cases, convinced IR Officer MOHR on cases reported at their level.
