Area Leader

The Area Leader is responsible for overseeing the Project Management and Project Support team and is responsible for the fulfillment of the contractual commitments with customers based in Malaysia.
The Area Leader consults with BH Malaysia’s Joint Venture operations for all the projects for which the JV is accountable for.
The Area Leader is responsible for BH’s internal Planning, Coordinating and Fulfillment of activities in connection with the customer service agreements (both long term and transactional). She/He contributes in the development of a business plan for the business unit as a whole.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- All activities related to the supervision, organization and execution by the Project Management team, including scope, time, contract cost & quality management. Responsibility for project methodologies and standards including planning and control, to fulfill contractual commitments and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders across the organization, while working with other functional business teams.
- Handles complex medium-term project processes and set strategies.
- Leads the team to oversee the planning, fulfillment and management of customer maintenance events
- Define team goals and objects that drive Company profitability and productivity, while meeting customer expectations.
- Manage complex processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the client side and internally.
- Responsible for the profitability and customer satisfaction for assigned contracts - Provide both service agreement, and time and material program management. Assure timely resolution of customer issues and customer satisfaction for assigned portfolio.
- Interact with members of the customer service, parts & transactional services, field service, repair service and/or other teams.
- Function as liaison between internal organizations and customers for escalating issues.
- Mentor and develop team for future growth and nurture a pipeline of potential talent to fulfill new contracts and meet succession needs.
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 10-15 additional years of experience in Customer Contract / Service Project Management.
- 8-10 years of experience in Industrial, pipeline, oil and gas and mining segments.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Strong collaborator across different functions and cross business teams.
- Previous experience managing remote teams.
- Ability to operate successfully in a matrix organization
**Desired Characteristics**
- Advanced technical degree or MBA.
