Project Manager (with experience in events)

**Role Overview**

The purpose of this role is to create and implement a culture of customer-oriented, efficient project management to ensure that the project objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints, maintaining open communication with all stakeholders. In short, you need to kick ass in project management.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Creatively develop and implement your ideal company-wide, customer-oriented, effective project management culture. We aspire to have a healthy work life balance and we believe a proper project management culture will help us achieve this goal.

2. Collaborate with business strategy developers to implement company-wide project management processes. Participate in the development of the organizational structure of projects to optimize talent use.

3. Gather project management feedback from stakeholders and constantly improve our methods.

4. Proudly represent the company and convey its values and project management culture to the customers.

5. Keep our production team happy, reducing their stress, by planning well ahead and solving problems. Create a work environment that makes the team feel comfortable. We believe happy people work better.

6. Provide and be happy to receive regular feedback on performance, so that we can grow a healthy company culture together and constantly improve.
- Project level_

1. Communicate sensitively with the client from the moment of signing the PO to project handover. Being the project owner requires collaboration with the client and team in terms of scope management, timeline and milestone definition, project execution, change management and delivery.

2. Support the team in the following areas:

- Capacity planning and Realistic Scope Management.
- Scheduling and tracking of Deliverables (Status, progression, priority).
- Clear communication and management of Risks.
- Milestone Planning, Review, Retrospectives
- Understanding and relating to different types of team members
- Sourcing for talent, expertise, hardware, software, etc.

3. Oversee and direct all aspects of the event coordination (we often make cool interactive stuff for trade shows, marketing events or exhibitions)

4. Drive progress and be the first quality guardian to improve the deliverables’ quality throughout development.

5. Mitigate and highlight any existing and potential risks ahead of time. Solve problems before they arise. Communicate with all stakeholders openly in order to iron out any potential difficulties.

6. Take ownership of specific development areas to coordinate and track schedules, identify current and future risks, and troubleshoot communication and dependency problems.

7. Develop and implement mandates with each collaborator (define the mandate, respective roles, and responsibilities and a clear decision-making framework), communicate the mandate to the teams, make any necessary adjustments and ensure compliance throughout the production process.

8. Assess the performance of direct contributors and take part in the evaluation process by validating coherence and fairness for all team members.

9. Discover a fine line between supervising the project and micromanaging. We believe that talents can manage themselves, so you just need to make sure the communication works.

10. Manage project Budget and cost. Develop and agree on budgets for projects and control forecasts and actual costs against them.

11. Due to the small size of the team, we still occasionally perform ad-hoc tasks that are out of our job scope, but we aim to reduce the number of them as we grow.

**Qualifications**

1. 4+ years’ experience in a management position (Lead or Production role) within the creative/game dev/IT industry/event management.

2. At least 5 independently managed projects realized with a team of 10+ people.

3. Experience in events is a must.

4. Experienced working as Project Coordinator and have knowledge in game development tools and methodology and working experience (Jira, etc.).

5. Management experience, experienced in managing a multi-disciplinary team.

6. Familiarity with modern production methodologies such as Scrum.

7. Capacity to take leadership and always maintain a positive, problem-solving approach.

8. Familiarity with the creative process and basic knowledge of tools for graphic (2D and 3D) design and programming to the extent that you know is possible in certain tools and platforms.

9. A basic knowledge of interactive solutions and technologies, such as VR, AR, MR, immersive display technologies, etc.
