- To log support calls and document/tickets their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries.
- To redirect or escalate support requests to the appropriate member of the IT Infrastructure Team.
- To pro-actively provide information to end-users on the progress of outstanding support calls.
- To deploy PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
- To install, configure operating systems and related software’s to agreed IT standards under the direction of the Technical Manager.
- To maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to IT standards determined by the Technical Manager, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine audit procedures.
- To assist in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
- To assist in the compilation of the Support Centre's technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users.
- To liaise with System Administrators to ensure continuity of service for all users.
**Requirements**:
- Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma from an accredited college/university with major course work in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of working experience.
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
- Able to work under minimum supervision & observe tight deadlines.
- Strong hands-on management of LAN/WAN networks using Windows Platform, Linux platform, switches, IP phones etc.
