The Role
- Compiles information, analyses and monitors actual sales against projected online sales.
- Analyses information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
- Conducts sales strategy analysis and refines as appropriate to increase market share for the property.
- Analyses available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals.
- Updates market knowledge, aligns strategies set by Director of Revenue and implement accordingly.
- To assist the Director of Revenue in the monthly forecasting of rooms and revenue.
- To assist Director of Revenue during the pricing and budgeting process.
- Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
- Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Explores opportunities that drive profit, create value for guests and encourage innovation; challenges existing processes/systems/products to make improvements.
- Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
- Communicates proactively regarding rate restrictions and strategy.
- Assists hotels with pricing and provides input on business evaluation recommendations.
- Provides recommendations to improve effectiveness of revenue management processes.
- Develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships in a proactive manner.
- Acts as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.
- Assist in maintaining and implement as necessary the Revenue Management system in Revenue Management Department and undertake regular monthly audits and review to ensure standards are being met.
- To maintain a smart and professional approach within the team and with business partners.
- To provide complete support to Departmental Trainer, maintain and grow our culture of learning through education and having a fun oriented atmosphere to achieve high productivity.
- Analyse and monitor marketing channels, key and other account production. Ensure that all major channels of distribution - Brand website, GHA website, OTAs, GDS, CRO, Wholesale - effectively support the hotel and maintain rate parity.
- Monitor group and transient business thresholds in accordance with selling strategies in Budget & Forecast.
- Follow up on Tentative and Prospect group bookings in Opera OSEM with Sales & Event team for conversion.
- Update all channels of distribution as needed with rate or inventory restrictions.
- Maintain appropriate daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting tool to ensure measured tracking of results.
- Have knowledge of city-wide events, conventions, festive, school and holiday seasons, financial and political status of the country as well as of key business source countries.
- Monitor and analyse the competition weekly through competitive shops, internet, news reports to identify selling strategies and emerging trends.
- Understand the Brand concept of Best Rate Guarantee and exercise care in rate regulation as per Policy outlined by PPHG.
- Work closely with Director of Revenue to achieve optimum yield through reputable Third Party Intermediaries.
- Explore and provide variations in the market mix which would stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
- Actively look for new business opportunities and relate to Director of Revenue to enhance future potential.
- Assist to ensure disciplined configuration of Opera Property Management System and ORS in terms of Revenue Management, conduct regular audits on reservation entries
