Position Summary

Working in close partnership with the Company Management team that includes the leadership for SALES, in collaboration with the immediate supervisor and other team members that form the Customer Service team, job holder possesses the responsibility to: - Ensure accurate and timely preparation of quotations to secure profitable sales from customers. - Provide direct support to the Indoor Sales team and customers alike to achieve the monthly business targets.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare competitive quotations based on comprehensive review and

understanding of customers’ specifications, and project plans, if it is a project.

Seek advice and/or work in collaboration with the PJ Office Quotation Team as

and when required.

2. Utilizing the necessary knowledge, provide the following accurate advice to

customers to support and build sales.

b. Latest pricing information;
c. Shortest lead time, such as land/air/sea freight;
d. Minimum order quantity (MOQ);
e. Inventory availability;
f. Alternative products if the required item is out of stock.

3. Discuss and propose to customers any added value that the Company may offer,

such as remaining standard cable length and delivery arrangement.

4. Handle daily calls from customers with professionalism and integrity; and ensure

provision of timely follow-up on product inquiries and/or requests.

5. Verify and ensure correct pricing upon receipt of POs from customers. Liaise with

customers to re-quote in the case of incorrect pricing.

6. Relay accurate information to the Order Processing team for their onward

processing.

7. Establish good rapport with the various Lapp & Phoenix organizations and liaise

with them on customers’ needs.

8. Generate open quotation report for discussion with the respective Sales member.

Submit monthly open quotation reports to the Sales Manager, together with

problems encountered.

9. Update all expired quotations into the system with C4C activities.

10. Update the Sales team and Sales Manager on all activities concerning the

customers.

11. Provide support to the Sales team on project quotes.

12. Undertake consciousness and receptiveness to customers’ needs.

13. Establish and maintain high level of cooperation and teamwork amongst the Sales

team, Order Processing team and Purchasing team.

14. Provide support in the E2E Business processes by undertaking such tasks as

drawing and labeling of Lapp products.

15. Lead and monitor other team member’s progress in term of work performance

relates to Quotation aspects.

16. Ensure prompt and accuracy issuance of Quotation to major Key Accounts of JJLM

with follow up actions.

17. Generate Quotation report and ensure sales activities linked to open quotations

prior closure of the valid quotations from system.

Required qualifications

1. At least 2 years of sales administration experience, however fresh degree holders may be considered.

2. Detail oriented; highly organized and able to handle high volume of orders.

3. Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and local dialects.

Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
