**Service Expediter**

Our restaurant group is looking to ensure prompt and courteous service of food and beverages to guests. They track all steps of the supply chain and direct colleagues on where to send supplies or product orders. Expeditors act as a liaison between various departments and company suppliers, directing packages to the right location and arranging for timed deliveries. They assess transportation infrastructure and make suggestions on how to improve efficiency and meet inventory and supply demands. Your role within the team is to track the distribution process and provide a guarantee that workflows will be completed on time.
- **1. Outlet’s Operational Maintenance**_
- Tracks operational responsibilities
- Documents process issues and prepare progress reports for such issues/processes.
- Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations.
- Monitor project delivery timelines, check work quality against restaurant’s requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with regulations.
- **2. Inventory Management**_
- Work with outlet head chef and/or any other assigned representative to monitor inventory levels, assess supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
- Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform relevant managers of potential delays.
- Obtaining material quotes from suppliers, ordering materials, scheduling deliveries and coordinating daily schedule.
- **3. Service Quality Management**_
- Ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen and ensuring orders are being prepared with the correct priority
- Assisting in the final preparation of dishes
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
- Deliver orders to maintain fast service
- Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing
- Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
- Handle complaints from clients to preserve the restaurant’s reputation
- Support other tasks as needed (e.g. telephone orders)
- **Qualifications**:_
- 2+ years of work experience in a similar role. Proven experience as food expeditor or other relevant restaurant position
- High school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality or relevant field will be appreciated
- Food handling certification may be required according to legal regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Teamwork skills and proficient people skills
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
- Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays

**Salary**: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
