Front Office Assistance (FOA) should be at all times well-groomed and carry him/herself in a pleasant and professional way. FOA shall be responsible for welcoming guests, managing bookings, and verifying guest's payment methods during check-in.

Other tasks included but not limited to below:

- Check-in/out guests according to standard operating procedure (SOP).
- Handle room keys according to SOP.
- Provide guests with general information about the hotel and surrounding area, and stay up-to-date on attractions that maybe of interest to guests.
- Provide courteous and efficient service and if possible, to comply with each and every request.
- Maintain guest records and other Front office records. To check the guest special request like baby cot, extra bed or fruit basket.
- Assign rooms for arriving guests. Special attention is given to repeat guests and with special request.
- Work closely with others department especially housekeeping department to coordinate on any special requests.
- Handle mail, messages, packages, flowers, gift and other items for guests.
- Report to the Duty Manager of guests’ complaints immediately
- To handle the minor complaint immediately as not to delay the guests at the counter.
- Responsible for the cash float, also responsible for any cash shortage /unsettled accounts (shortage) due to their negligence.
- Pass complete instructions to his/her colleagues before leaving duty.
- To make sure all posting for FIT/GIT is correct & to double check to free from any mistakes.
- To make sure all guest settles bill upon departure.
- Receive & hold in safe custody, all cash payment made by guest till the account is rendered.
- Liaison with management when VIPs and other special requests are processed.
- Ensure Hotel policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Any other tasks that is relevant.
