Front Office Assistant

We are seeking a friendly and skilled Front Office Assistant who is fluent in Mandarin to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our Mandarin-speaking guests, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a positive guest experience during their stay at our hotel.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Guest Services**:
- Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a warm welcome.
- Assist Mandarin-speaking guests with check-in, check-out, reservations, and inquiries.
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities.
**Language Proficiency**:
- Communicate fluently in Mandarin, both verbally and in writing.
- Act as a language resource for Mandarin-speaking guests, helping with their needs and requests.
**Front Desk Operations**:
- Handle guest registration, room assignments, and billing processes.
- Manage telephone inquiries and reservations, both in Mandarin and other languages.
- Assist with the coordination of guest transportation and luggage handling.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
**Problem Resolution**:
- Address guest concerns, issues, or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve guest problems to their satisfaction.
**Administrative Tasks**:
- Complete checklists, reports, and other administrative duties as required.
- Assist in the settlement of accounts and handle cashiering responsibilities.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in a hotel front desk or guest services role.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Mandarin is essential.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems (PMS) is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional and welcoming demeanor.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
