Presales Network Consultant
This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

The Systems Engineer is responsible for providing technical and functional support to potential clients and ensuring their satisfaction. They should have a proven track record in sales support and be able to highlight the advantages of HPE Aruba Networking's Solution over competitors. Working closely with an assigned Account Manager, the Systems Engineer will deliver a comprehensive pitch to potential clients and actively support them throughout the sales process until closure. This role requires strong leadership and teamwork skills to develop customized and innovative solutions for clients and prospects. Gathering client data is crucial for effective customization, and the Systems Engineer should be knowledgeable in solution selling and different delivery methods to determine the best fit for each client. By combining technical expertise with business understanding, they play a vital role in demonstrating how HPE Aruba Networking's solutions bring value to clients' businesses.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage pre-sales technical and functional support to prospective clients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Present and articulate the capabilities and values of Aruba Solutions compared to competitors.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager to deliver comprehensive pitches to prospective clients.
- Proactively support the opportunity pipeline and drive sales process closure.
- Gather client data to effectively tailor solutions and provide detailed information on how Aruba's solutions deliver business value.
- Develop and maintain account relationships, delivering ongoing advice and identifying additional opportunities.
- Provide technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
- Stay updated on competitors and strategically position Aruba's products and services.
- Contribute to proposal development, consulting, and provide technical expertise for deal closings.
- Understand the channel and develop effective plans to increase sales with partners.
**Education and Experience**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- 4-8+ years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on infrastructure engineering and presales activities.
- Strong technical knowledge in networking solutions such as routing, switching, Data Centre Networking, Wireless LAN, Cloud Networking, SD-WAN/SASE, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Network Management Platform.
- Networking certifications (HPE Aruba, Cisco, etc.) such as ACMP and/or ACDP, or equivalent, are strongly desired.
- Experience in Security Access solutions (HPE Aruba Clearpass, Cisco ISE, Forescout, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with competitor offerings and the ability to sell comprehensive systems, services, and attached products.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills to effectively translate product knowledge into customer's added business value.
- Strong team player in a competitive environment, maintaining a proactive attitude.
