Responsibilities

Compliance Oversight
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to debt collection, including but not limited to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA);
- Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that impact debt collection practices;
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program.

Internal Auditing
- Conduct regular internal audits of collection processes to identify compliance gaps or issues;
- Prepare audit reports, document findings, and recommend corrective actions;
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement corrective actions

Policy Development
- Develop and update collection policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory changes;
- Ensure that collection practices and policies are consistently applied across the organization.

Staff Training
- Provide training and guidance to collection staff on compliance requirements and best practices;
- Conduct workshops or training sessions to enhance staff awareness and knowledge of compliance standards.

Monitoring and Reporting
- Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure compliance effectiveness;
- Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

Vendor Management
- Evaluate and ensure compliance of third-party collection agencies and vendors;
- Manage vendor relationships to uphold compliance standards.

Investigations
- Conduct investigations into compliance-related complaints or issues.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address identified problems.

**Requirements**:

- 1) Degree holder of Accounting / Finance / Law /Business Studies or Economics or Institute of Internal Auditors;
2) Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience development banking/ financial environment / debt recovery;
3) Good understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance and audit standard;
4) Strong report writing and communication skills with ability to read, write in local major languages - English Language, Bahasa Malaysia;
5) Good analytical and strong problem-solving skills;
6) Ability to work independently;
7) Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and willing to travel extensively.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
