**JOB DESCRIPTION**
This role is a combination of routine QA testing, project management, and advisory role for APAC QA and OCM community. The incumbent will be working closely with the regional/country Operations BAU teams, regional/country OCM teams, APAC QA hub sub-teams/local team members and other stakeholders to help facilitate QA business and various initiatives, evaluate the execution quality of the control for CIB Operations. Also, the person will be expected to assist in planning for a QA and control strategy.

**Job Summary**:
The Operations Quality Assurance (QA) hub is the essential function team to perform continuous monitoring and testing on existing controls to meet increasing demand on mitigating control residual risk and self-assessment from regulators. As a line function, the role has continued to evolve to fit the demand from both Operation management and control environment and be more efficient and effective to assure the quality of operation production. By producing regular MIS, the team provide valuable insight for senior management to assess the Operational Risk undertaking.

QA is responsible for testing and executing the quality assurance on Operation BAU performance to support business on a sustainable and healthy manner. QA works in partnership with the OCM to provide the Operations BAU team with a comprehensive view of control execution quality on an ongoing basis.
- Focus includes:

- Acting as trusted Operations control execution quality appraiser and as a first line of defense with Operations on the control agenda
- Conducting sample testing on selective operation processing to match with management or regulatory requirement
- Driving Automation (optimization) of QA process to scale up coverage and productivity
- Facilitating and oversighting the Risk Audit Mitigation Program or other control relevant scheme.
- Prepare and facilitate the regular control governance meeting and monitor the metrics or relevant scorecards
- Conducting trend analysis via metrics that were reported

**Responsibilities**:
Perform Quality Assurance in APAC
- Quality Assurance team member based in Malaysia and extend services to APAC countries
- Conduct quality assurance testing on operation implementation according to the testing steps embedded SOP on a timely manner
- Follow up remediation action and coordinate with action owners for progress tracking and prepare operation related meeting deck within deadline
- Implement QA Program for APAC CIB Operations - the program should cover across various businesses (e.g. WPO and Markets)
- Implement the program by partnering with OCM colleagues and Operation partners
- Perform the QA as a tester or QA reviewer
- Prepare the Operations QA/control related meeting deck and participate or chair the internal Operation control meetings

Deliver Productivity Improvement
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing QA testing process by utilizing Alteryx, IDQ, Qlikview, Tableau, Robotics, Xceptor, AI, or any other digital solution in variety of areas including but not limited to; MIS and report preparation, QA and self-tests, etc.
- Deliver Automation (optimization) program / AI initiatives of QA process locally/regionally
- Provide insights of the overall control environment and improvement suggestions

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Prior experience in either Control/Audit/Operational Risk/Compliance Testing/Operation experience is required
- Good problem-solving skills to identify, understand and address operational issues with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks within tight timeline
- Good communication skills and ability to approach complex problems in a structured way driving through solutions across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from an operations perspective
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior experience with intellectual automation/AI machine learning /digitalization experience is preferred
