Payroll Manager

**Core Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of analyst covering multiple countries
- Have the ability to lead internal/external audits and ensure we pass compliance
- Approve Out-of-cycle payrolls for team
- Responsible for the timing submission of the general ledger files
- Supplementary reports to support the finance function in the reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts.
- Work closely with the other Leaders within HR and the business to ensure that processes are effective and efficient, taking an active role in service development/improvement activities
- Develop/review/update policies and procedures to ensure compliance and alignment
- Respond in an accurate and timely manner in which payroll related actions and reports are prepared and processed, lead by example
- Have the ability to communicate, facilitate and engage proactively with colleagues, staff managers, and department managers as needed
- Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations is accurate, compliant, and timely.
- Recommend and implement changes leading to standard methodology operations.
- Management reporting, including monthly results, quarterly and year-end reports (i.e. gross payroll, PTO accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.).
- Support new systems set-up within Payroll and/or other integration platforms upstream or downstream
- Actively flag risks to the business and implement mitigation plans. Ensure payroll is run within highest integrity standards
- Assess team performance by monitoring department KPIs and other successful delivery indicators, identify any gaps in performance/training/capabilities and put in place workplan to mitigate and improve results
- Monitoring of necessary legal changes and initiating update of the payroll system
**General tasks for all managers and professionals (required by QM and H&S)**:
- Conducts SOX Audit for Tax and Social Insurance
- Responsible to follow H&S instructions, for a health-related behavior of their direct reports and to build structures and resources which strengthen health and motivation.
- The managers have the responsibility and the rights to realize the requirements re. Quality, Environment protection and H&S systems.
- In addition, managers and associates must follow SOX regulation and Code of conduct, a part of their job description.
- The job holder must fulfil other tasks, which belong to his/her area of responsibility or could be executed based on his/her knowledge and skills and which are necessary for the organization.
