Turnaround Planner/ Scheduler

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Turnaround Planning**:

- Develop detailed turnaround plans including scope, objectives, resources, and timeline.
- Prepare work packages, job plans, and procedures for all turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to define the scope of work.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- **Scheduling**:

- Create and maintain turnaround schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Develop critical path schedules to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and update turnaround schedules based on project progress and changes.
- Ensure alignment of schedules with production and maintenance requirements.
- **Resource Coordination**:

- Identify and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials required for turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure adherence to turnaround schedules and quality standards.
- **Cost Management**:

- Develop and manage turnaround budgets, including cost estimation and tracking.
- Ensure cost control measures are in place and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Provide regular cost updates and reports to management.
- **Communication and Reporting**:

- Facilitate regular turnaround meetings to review progress, address issues, and communicate updates.
- Prepare detailed turnaround reports, including progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment on turnaround objectives and expectations.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure all turnaround activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Implement safety plans and conduct safety audits during turnaround activities.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the turnaround team.
- **Documentation and Analysis**:

- Maintain comprehensive turnaround documentation, including work orders, job plans, schedules, and reports.
- Conduct post-turnaround analysis to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future turnarounds.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in turnaround planning and scheduling in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
- Experience in managing large-scale turnaround projects is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of turnaround planning principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and project management tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Turnaround Management.
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and industry standards in Malaysia.
- Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office and field-based work, including visits to operational sites.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during turnaround periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,838.79 - RM7,925.63 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- On call
- Weekend jobs
