We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Turnaround Coordinator to join our team in Malaysia. The Turnaround Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of turnaround activities in our oil and gas operations. This position requires strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of turnaround processes, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure safe and successful turnaround outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Planning Support**:

- Assist the Turnaround Manager in developing and refining the turnaround plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, and work scope definition.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, maintenance, engineering) to ensure alignment on turnaround objectives and deliverables.
- Develop detailed work plans and schedules for specific turnaround activities.
- **Coordination of Activities**:

- Act as the central point of contact for day-to-day coordination of turnaround activities.
- Schedule and organize meetings, workshops, and site visits to facilitate effective communication and planning.
- Ensure that all turnaround activities are carried out in accordance with the master schedule and plan.
- **Resource Management**:

- Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of resources including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure that all required permits, certifications, and approvals are in place before the commencement of work.
- Track the utilization of resources to ensure efficiency and address any shortages or overages.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all turnaround activities comply with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety audits to reinforce safety practices and address potential hazards.
- Maintain documentation related to safety compliance and incident reporting.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all turnaround activities, including work progress, resource usage, and cost tracking.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports to the Turnaround Manager and other stakeholders.
- Compile post-turnaround reports highlighting achievements, issues, and lessons learned.
- **Issue Resolution**:

- Identify and address any issues or conflicts that arise during the turnaround process, coordinating with relevant parties to find solutions.
- Escalate significant issues to the Turnaround Manager and provide recommendations for resolution.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure that turnaround work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and testing to verify the quality of completed work.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Support initiatives aimed at improving turnaround processes and outcomes.
- Participate in post-turnaround reviews to capture lessons learned and best practices for future turnarounds.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in turnaround coordination, project coordination, or a related role within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience supporting the planning and execution of large-scale turnaround projects.
- **Skills**:

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards applicable to the oil and gas industry.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- **Certifications**:

- Relevant industry certifications related to turnaround management or project coordination are a plus.
