Credentialing Coordinator Team Leader

**The Opportunity**
As a Credentialing Coordinator Team Leader, you have the opportunity to work with the leading provider of independent medical examinations, peer reviews, bill reviews, Medicare compliance, record retrieval, document management and related services.
The Credentialing Coordinator Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the credentialing and re-credentialing of healthcare professionals within the Credentialing Department. This position provides leadership and direction to ensure operations run as efficiently and effectively as possible and ensures accurate physician credentialing.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the completion of health care professional credentialing and re-credentialing for inclusion in the national health care professional network.
- Oversee the collection of all required documentation from applicable state licensing authorities.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the national healthcare professional database.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing all re-credentialing requirements and ensuring timely collection of all required renewal certifications.
- Provides consistent and timely follow-up on all outstanding credentialing/credentialing needs.
- Works closely with Physician Recruiters as needed.
- Delegates work with other credentialing team members as needed and provide backup to the department as required.
- Assists in the resolution of any physician and/or customer complaints or credentialing concerns.
- Provides insight and direction to management on consultant interactions, responsiveness and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote and achieve the most efficient operation possible.
- Assists with special credentialing projects as directed by Management.
- Maintains privacy and confidentiality of records and information at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
**Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Good analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Good decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with the use of MS Office and other related tools.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Must be able to work efficiently and independently.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
