Each region operating in semi-autonomous offices with their own corporate functions including Commercial, Finance, HR, Compliance & Legal, Customer Service, and Operations.

We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to the role of Commercial Manager, Clearing & Forwarding. Reporting to the Commercial Head, Asia Pacific, Freight & Project Forwarding based in Singapore. The individual will have the relevant skill sets, capable of developing compelling value propositions that foster strong relationships aligned with products, markets and trade-flows, selling all Access World commodities business and services (In line with Freight and Project Forwarding budget revenues, commercial plans and targets, etc).

**Reports to**: Commercial Head

**Duties will include but not limiting to**:

- Manage an assigned geographical sales area to maximize sales revenue, meet relevant sales targets and new business development.
- Develop and implement commercial strategy. Also, strengthen the existing Commercial Clearing & Forwarding Team to increase sales conversion rate and improve commercial processes.
- Implement required infrastructure for IATA, FIATA and other clearing and forwarding related accreditations, memberships and associations.
- Collaborate with Commercial Key Account Management of our SEA network including quotation handling, sourcing of services and rates as well as P&L management not limited to sea freight (Vessel/Part Charter/LCL/FCL), air freight shipment and inland trucking.
- Expand reliable and competitive freight forwarders, carriers (Sea and Air), other transport providers meeting the companies and customer requirements, monitor and track their service performance (service failures, issues, disputes and claims).
- Maintain customer satisfaction in meeting customer’s requirements with a reasonable response-time, rate competitiveness and validity periods.
- Build relationships at all levels and represents the company, including making presentations and attending networking events.
- Provide management reporting including business reviews, sales planning, meetings and visit reports, etc.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Ensure compliance to Access World Group Policies.
- A degree from a recognized University in the field of logistics would be advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years of Commercial management and sales experience in a Freight Forwarding / NVOCC / Chartering environment, with a minimum of 5 years in managerial capacity.
- Excellent commercial and entrepreneurial flair are critical to the success of this role.
- Possess deep and comprehensive understanding of freight and chartering business and different modes of international shipping and logistics. Project cargo experience is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to hands-on with cross-functional and multicultural stakeholders in different time zone.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced working environment, self-driven, creative with positive working attitude.
- Good leadership and influencing skills with a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
- Ability to travel regularly regionally when required and on short notice.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
- Mandarin speaking and writing ability to communicate with Mandarin speaking counterparts will be an added advantageous.
