**JOB SUMMARY**

Areas of responsibility include Restaurants and Bars, if applicable. Supervises daily restaurant operations and assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards and assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility. Determines training needed to accomplish goals, then implements plan.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordinate all aspects of the point of sales implementation.
- Responsible for the timely and complete set up in accordance with the pre-determined policies of all meal periods in the outlets at all times.
- Responsible for the adequate staffing of all outlets at any time.
- Attend daily morning briefings.
- Attend and prepare for all departmental meetings.
- To ensure that in conjunction with the Chief Steward, a breakage prevention programme and adequate par stocks are in place.
- Responsible for the effective execution of any events held in the outlets.
- Follow instructions given by the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Asst Food & Beverage Manager in performing any other reasonable duties, as required by the division head from time to time.
- Recruit, train and supervise new associates of the outlet.
- Constantly find ways to further increase revenue without sacrificing pre-determined standards.
- Carry out associates appraisals and filter down own objectives to other colleagues.
- Discipline associates and report all misconduct to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage and Asst Food & Beverage Manager.
- Propose appropriate associates movements and promotions to the Assistant Director of Food + Beverage and Asst Food & Beverage Manager.
- Fully responsible and accountable for the department’s operating budget including revenues, expenses, labour cost and profitability.
- Communicate guest feedback to the Food + Beverage management at once and through the use of the department’s log book.
- Ensure effective communication between Restaurant Manager, Culinary team and associates.
- Thorough knowledge of the establishment’s facilities and personnel involved.
- Constant standard of performance whether the operation is busy or not.
- Strives to develop self-esteem, which results in a friendly, relaxed attitude with guests.
- Ensure a clean, smart appearance at all times.
- Acquaint with all electrical and mechanical equipment and observe all safety precautions whilst using such equipment.
- Clear understanding of hotel’s Associate handbook and the regulations stated within.
- Ensure all equipment in the department is used in such a manner as to prevent damage and prolong its usage.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations set by the management while on duty.
- Work as a team and offer help when needed.
- Organise and monitor all training activities.
- Actively participate in all training activities and assist in organising such activities.
- Prepare and update job descriptions for all positions in the outlet.
