Objectives of the Position:
- Be an integral part in shaping the young, agile and exciting greenfield communications team at the BASF Asia Pacific Global Business Services Hub, Kuala Lumpur
- As part of the Hub services, manage internal and external communications activities across Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand markets, while working with a team at the Kuala Lumpur hub
- Ensure a consistent strategy across all communications channels
Main Tasks:
- Engage and work with stakeholders in the Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand markets on all communications needs. Create pro-active partnerships
- Be responsible for various communication services including content creation for several communication channels (internal and external), crisis management and leadership positioning, among other communication services
- Roll out global/regional communications campaigns and initiatives for these markets
- Actively collaborate with colleagues in the KL hub, who provide other specialist services, to fulfill stakeholder requirements
- Develop deep knowledge about the markets (HK and ANZ) and provide advisory services on communication activities across platforms.
- Demonstrate eagerness to upskill and learn about latest trends in communications
- Establish exceptional consultative skills
**Requirements**:
- ** Education**: University degree or above in mass communication or related field
- **Working Experience**:
- Significant demonstrated success in internal and external communications in a multicultural corporate setting. Generalist communicators will be preferred, with a minimum experience of 10 years
- Some experience living or working in Hong Kong or ANZ will be an added advantage
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and create good relationships
- Actively contribute to a collaborative climate
BASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre was established in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the regional service hub has approximately 1,100 employees and growing. Focused on being a competency and digitalization driven hub, it also provides quality functional and know-how services in the areas of finance, controlling, human resources, real estate and facilities management, communications, environmental, health and safety, procurement, import-export order management, and information services to BASF companies and affiliates in the Asia Pacific region. BASF also has two other regional hubs located in Berlin, Germany, and Montevideo, Uruguay that cover the Europe and Americas regions.
