Customer Service Specialist

**A.** **JOB SUMMARY**:
- The trucking officer is assist in daily operation of transport service as requested by customer.
- Responsible for the logistic operation job, support logistics arrangements, liaise with drivers or contractors on shipments and customs related issues and maintain proper documentations.
- The trucking officer must work closely with operation team in planning and manages their service to customer, to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the trucking service to meet customer satisfaction.
- Understand customer requirement and ensure the smooth facilitation of processing of customer’s shipment within Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs) and timeframes.
- Report to HOD for any discrepancy or issue.
**B.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Handle all inbound / outbound / domestic trucking activity.
- Promptly reply customer when receive new order.
- Coordinate and understand customer requirement and arrange transportation and forwarding services as per customer expectations.
- Ensure all customer request are fulfilled and provide shipment information to customer timely.
- Ensure document receive from customer is in order before hand over to operation team for custom documentation preparation.
- To liaise with internal departments and contractors to facilitate shipments.
- Work cohesively with colleagues and provide assistance to team when required.
- Update customer the status of shipment.
- Proactively to resolve issues with operations team.
- Expedites all critical orders with internal department and subcontract vendors.
- Ensure on time delivery of customer's orders.
- Ensure proper filing of documents before hand over to billing department.
- Ensure indicate costing in each job file.
- Follow up each Singapore temporary permit and transhipment permit to ensure all permit proper endorse.
- Handle console truck planning for cross border inbound / outbound / domestic activity.
**C.** **AUTHORITIES**
- Responsible to arrange / monitoring daily inbound / outbound / domestic activity shipment.
- Authorize to assign console truck to carry daily cross border inbound / outbound / domestic activity shipment.
- Responsible to plan or change for console truck schedule for daily activity, and provide daily truck planning and detail to team member.
- Provide daily console list to warehouse team for transferring cargoes for cross border shipment.
**D. QUALIFICATIONS**
**1.** **Education & Experience**
- Must possess at least at Diploma or Bachelor degree in any field.
- 1-3 years of working experience in the related field will be added advantage.
- Experience in Freight forwarding environment and knowledge of custom procedure is ideal.
- Good computer skill in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Outlook
**2.** **Core Competencies / Skill**
- Experience in freight forwarding or carrier environment.
- Analytical / problem solver - able to understand the requirement of customer, solve the operation issue and customer complaint.
**3.** **Soft skill (desirable)**
- Independent and able to work in a fast pace environment
- Good interpersonal skills and able to communication with people of all levels.
- Positive attitude and able to work effectively on own initiative.
- Willing to undertake challenge for any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English, however ability to communicate in other local language would be an added advantage.
- Hardworking, well mannered and oriented with positive mind-set.
- Good sense of urgency and able to work under pressure.

**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
