Job Title: Settlements Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlements Officer to join our team at TIME's Group. As a Settlements Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data through thorough daily settlement reconciliations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation and Settlement:
    • Conduct daily settlement reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
    • Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Match and compare data to identify any discrepancies.
    • Keep comprehensive records of reconciliation processes and outcomes.
  • Settlements Functions:
    • Ensure compliance with ASX and CHESS Business Rules.
    • Process daily settlement obligations in accordance with time limits set down in the Business Rules.
    • Ensure clients' trades are transacted correctly and on time.
    • Maintain accurate client portfolio records and ensure they are reconciled to CHESS holding records.
  • Finance:
    • Assist with processing of funds withdrawals via funds transfer.
    • Process payment batches of share sales proceeds to clients.
    • Process collection batches of funds from clients to settle trades.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Previous working experience in a similar environment and capacity, preferably in the Banking/Financial services industry.
  • Preferably a degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
Working Hours:
  • Staggered shifts following Sydney time (Mon-Fri).
  • Earliest shift: 5am - 2pm MYT.
  • Latest shift: 9am - 6pm MYT.
