Key Responsibilities
  • Improve Inspection and Measurement Cycle Time: Develop and implement efficient inspection and measurement processes to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
  • Oversee Release and Verification of Parts: Ensure the release and verification of internal and external parts and components, including the preparation of ISIR reports.
  • Perform Measurement System Analyses: Conduct Measurement System Analyses (MSA, Gauge R&R) and Result analyses to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our measurement systems.
  • Make Disposition on Non-Conforming Parts: Make disposition on non-conforming parts and advise CAD/CAM, SDQ engineers on improvement possibilities.
  • Train and Coach Metrology Engineers: Train and coach Metrology Engineers, Technicians, and Operators to enhance their qualifications and improve their skills.
  • Manage Complaints and Implement Containment Actions: Manage both internal and external complaints and implement containment and corrective actions related to inventory, process, and quality issues.
  • Monitor and Perform Calibration on Measurement Equipment: Monitor and perform calibration on measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain and Create Process/Quality Procedures: Maintain and create process/quality procedures, WI, and OCAP to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide Support on Quality-Related Issues: Provide support on various quality-related issues/projects to achieve company and department goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering/Mathematics: A Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics is required.
  • Experience in CMM Programming: Experience in CMM programming, preferably with Mitutoyo, is required.
  • Knowledge of Measurement System Analyses: Knowledge and execution of Measurement System Analyses (MSA, Gauge R&R) and Result analyses are required.
  • Statistical Process Control: Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in ISO 9001: Experience in ISO 9001 is preferred.
  • 8D Problem Solving: Knowledge of 8D problem-solving is preferred.
  • Production, Metrology, and Quality Inspection: Experience in production, metrology, and quality inspection is preferred.
  • Experience with Machining or Machined Components: Experience with machining or machined components is preferred.
