About Our Department

The Retail Banking function at UOB offers personalized financial solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers. Our comprehensive product range includes deposit accounts, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment services, and wealth management, designed to facilitate effective financial management for individuals and businesses alike.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

Hiring Locations: Various locations in Malaysia

Account Manager Role

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while expanding our customer base to optimize the utilization of banking facilities according to our standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and establish/maintain account relationships with both current and prospective clients.
  • Contribute to branch profitability by achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships through various banking products and services.

Marketing Manager Role

  • Proactively engage with clients to solicit loans, deposits, and other financial products, ensuring timely conversion of efforts into tangible results.
  • Meet allocated sales targets for Loans, Deposits, Banca, and new customer acquisition.
  • Emphasize good follow-up practices and a prompt execution culture in marketing duties.
  • Risk Management - Introduce clients properly and conduct joint introduction visits with Account Managers.
  • Quality Control & Compliance - Ensure high accuracy and correctness in submissions.
  • Communicate clear expectations regarding terms and conditions in the letter of offer and other documents to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Filing Order for credit files before handing them over to the Account Management Team.
  • Foster a strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders for business referrals.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and processes at all times.
Requirements

For Account Manager

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business-to-consumer sales with a proven track record.
  • Prior experience in retail banking sales, especially mortgage sales, is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of credit marketing and its practical application is desirable.
  • An extensive network of SME business contacts and sound business acumen are essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

For Marketing Manager

  • Strong business acumen, proactive attitude, and a self-driven personality.
  • Effective sales and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial statements and proficiency in cash flow analysis.
  • Preferably 3-5 years of experience in business-to-consumer sales with a proven track record.
  • Experience in credit marketing will be beneficial.
