About the Job

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Jobstreet Malaysia. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and be a key player in our HR Department.

In this role, you will have the chance to work with a variety of HR functions, including Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Training, Foreign Workers Management, Performance Management, Staff Disciplinary, Employee Engagement, OSHA, etc. You will be working closely with the HR Manager to implement HR policies and procedures, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in these areas.

You will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, ensuring that all payroll transactions are processed in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance and supervising the payroll team, and ensuring that payroll practices comply with statutory requirements and Malaysia Employment Act.

You will also be responsible for assisting in the talent acquisition process, collaborating with hiring managers, maintaining and updating job descriptions, monitoring the expiry and renewal of foreign workers' permits, coordinating with landlords, updating management and HODs, coordinating and executing internal, external, and public training, responsible for maintaining the training record, and preparing necessary documents and letters for further action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll;
  • Ensure that all payroll transactions are processed in compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
  • Provide guidance and supervise the payroll team;
  • Ensure that payroll practices comply with statutory requirements and Malaysia Employment Act;
  • Communicate with employees regarding payroll-related matters;
  • Assist in the talent acquisition process;
  • Collaborate with hiring managers;
  • Maintain and update job descriptions;
  • Monitor the expiry and renewal of foreign workers' permits;
  • Coordinate with landlords;
  • Update management and HODs;
  • Coordinate and execute internal, external, and public training;
  • Responsible for maintaining the training record;
  • Prepare necessary documents and letters for further action;
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resource or equivalent qualification;
  • 5 years of HR Generalist experience in Compensation & Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Training, Foreign Workers Management, Performance Management, Staff Disciplinary, Employee Engagement, OSHA, etc.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices;
  • Well-versed in Malaysia employment legislation and regulations;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion;
  • Proficiency in HRIS will be an added advantage;
  • Candidate with manufacturing background will be an added advantage;
