As a Channel Business Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in shaping our channel strategies and tactics to drive growth and expansion.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and independent individual with excellent communication skills and fluency in English. As a Channel Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing channel strategies and tactics for each retail environment, based on shopper and trade expertise. You will work closely with the Channel Sales Head in the development of Channel Strategies. Your key responsibilities will include defining channel strategy and tactics by retail environment, developing Channel strategies & plans in line with company AOP objective and direction, and monitoring channel performance and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Additional responsibilities include identifying and evaluating channel distribution potential, developing plans to maximize channel business opportunities, and ensuring Channel/Customer Management, promotion pricing and in-store execution guideline compliance according to defined strategies/tactics by retail environment. You will also coordinate the planning and execution of channel and account activities and communicate plans to the relevant channel/account/geographic teams and Field Sales force on time and accurately. Furthermore, you will periodically review key SKU/Range distribution, NOS, market share, trade spend & volume within The Channel, conduct pre- and post-analysis of channel/customer promotions, highlight results to define future more profitable plans & develop a library of performance history, and provide channel demand forecast phasing based on the market trend & channel activity.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess at least a bachelor's degree or higher in any field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG Commercial (trade marketing/shopper marketing, channel & category marketing) or Distributor management is required. Preferred candidates will have experience in business planning and implementation of Customer/Channel Business Plan & Project Management. Financial implication and awareness of P&L statement, supply chain reports etc. are essential. Knowledge of information system tools (AC Nielsen & Kantar) is desirable. Strong communication skills and fluency in English are also necessary. Finally, you must be an independent and good team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
