- Consultative Selling: Engage with prospective clients to understand their energy needs, assess their site's solar potential, and present customized solar PV solutions.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the solar industry.
- Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to effectively communicate the benefits and financial returns of solar PV systems.
- Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, government incentives, and regulations related to solar energy.
- Sales Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads, sales activities, and customer interactions using CRM software.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in the solar industry or renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, their components, and associated technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal solar energy policies, incentives, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and close sales deals.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, combined with highly disciplined approach is crucial for success in this role.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
