Key Responsibilities:

  1. Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Utilize advanced tools and techniques to monitor network performance, identify potential issues, and perform regular maintenance activities to ensure optimal network health.
  2. Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to network-related incidents, troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize downtime, and collaborate with other IT teams to investigate and resolve complex network problems.
  3. Network Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect our network from cyber threats, conduct regular security assessments and audits, and ensure compliance with security policies.
  4. Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning to anticipate future network needs based on business growth and technological advancements, recommend and implement enhancements to optimize network performance and reliability.
  5. Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, topologies, and procedures, create and update network diagrams to reflect the current state of the infrastructure.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other IT teams, vendors, and business units to coordinate network-related activities and projects.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Systems Engineer with a focus on network operations, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  3. In-depth knowledge of network protocols, technologies, and security best practices.
  4. Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic equipment.
  5. Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
