Nala Groups is a dynamic organization with various business units, including a café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre. We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of General Manager, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our multifaceted business.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in management, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for the arts and community engagement. They will be responsible for managing multiple business units, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the café, dance and piano studio, apparel shop, and children's art centre, ensuring all areas are staffed appropriately and run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for each business unit, monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and prepare financial reports for the owner/director.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise staff across all business units, foster a positive and collaborative work environment, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a high standard of customer service across all business units, handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints effectively, and develop strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the café, studios, shop, and art centre, plan and execute events, workshops, and promotions, and build and maintain relationships with local community groups, schools, and businesses.
  • Facility Management: Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of all facilities, and coordinate repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels for the café and apparel shop, and implement effective stock control systems.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably in a similar multifaceted environment.
  2. Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
  3. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Proven ability to manage multiple business units and a diverse team.
  5. Passion for the arts, community engagement, and customer service.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software.
  7. Personal Attributes: Highly organized and detail oriented, creative and strategic thinker, able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

Estimated Salary: RM6,500 - RM8,500 per month.
