**To ensure wastewater treatment plant effluent discharge handling are in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.To monitor and ensure the efficient operation of wastewater treatment plants.**

1. To monitor and ensure all equipment and treatment process units are well maintained.

2. To plan and execute troubleshooting of wastewater treatment plant including mechanical and plant process failure.

3. To perform in-house jar test and determine right chemical dosage for physical chemical process

4. To liaise with independent external third party laboratory and perform OER submission.

5. To ensure supervisors and operators follow environmental, health and safety rules and regulations in daily operation.

6. To actively involve and guide supervisors and operators in the implementation of 5S system to ensure cleanliness, upkeep of equipment and sustainability of plant process and management. 7. To act as Competent Person under requirements of EQA 1974. 8. Other assigned duties as required.

**Education & Skills Requirements**

1. Minimum Bachelor Degree in chemical/environmental/wastewater treatment science, technology or engineering discipline

2. Minimum 1 year of work experience in wastewater treatment operation

3. Possessing good knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, scheduled waste management and scrubber operation

4. Possessing CePIETSO (PCP or BP) competency is a must.

5. Ability to work independently and proactively with minimum supervision

6. Ability to lead and train subordinates to handle environmental-related issues

7. Good communication skills and able to communicate effectively with the superior and subordinates.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
