Business Development Lead

**Job Purpose**:
Business Development Leads are responsible for contacting existing customers and potential customers to discuss their solar energy needs and determine the types of systems and equipment that would work best for them. They prepare solar energy system proposals, including descriptions of the work plans, price quotes, and funding options.
1. Prepare proposals, quotes, contracts, or presentations for potential solar customers.
- Develop content for sales presentations or other materials.
- Develop proposals for current or prospective customers.
- Prepare sales or other contracts.
2. Select solar energy products, systems, or services for customers based on electrical energy requirements, site conditions, price, or other factors.
- Customize energy products or services to meet customer needs.
3. Provide customers with information such as quotes, orders, sales, shipping, warranties, credit, funding options, incentives, or tax rebates.
- Explain technical product or service information to customers.
- Explain financial information to customers.
4. Gather information from prospective customers to identify their solar energy needs.
- Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs.
5. Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems, equipment, and services to potential customers or dealers.
- Explain technical product or service information to customers.
6. Calculate potential solar resources or solar array production for a particular site considering issues such as climate, shading, and roof orientation.
7. Generate solar energy customer leads to develop new accounts.
- Identify potential customers.
8. Take quote requests or orders from dealers or customers.
- Take product orders from customers.
9. Assess sites to determine suitability for solar equipment, using equipment such as tape measures, compasses, and computer software.
10. Prepare or review detailed design drawings, specifications, or lists related to solar installations.
- Prepare drawings or diagrams of products or services.
11. Develop marketing or strategic plans for sales territories.
- Develop marketing plans or strategies.
12. Create customized energy management packages to satisfy customer needs.
- Customize energy products or services to meet customer needs.
13. Demonstrate use of solar and related equipment to customers or dealers.
- Demonstrate products to consumers.
14. Recommended after-sales services to existing and potential clients.
**Requirements**:
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Other languages in an added advantage
- Diploma/Degree in related field
- More than 2 years of experience in doing Sales. Solar experience is an added advantage
- Able to go out of length to achieve a common goal
