**Job Summary**:
The Recovery Support Coach plays a vital role in supporting individuals recovering from substance use disorders. This position is responsible for providing peer-based recovery support, mentoring, advocacy, and assistance in navigating systems of care. The Recovery Support Coach works closely with clients, clinical staff, and community resources to help individuals maintain long-term recovery and achieve their personal goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build supportive, peer-based relationships with clients in recovery.
- Assist clients in identifying strengths, setting recovery goals, and developing individualized recovery plans.
- Provide mentorship and guidance using lived experience in recovery.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery-oriented support groups, educational sessions, or workshops.
- Support clients in accessing services such as housing, employment, healthcare, and legal aid.
- Help clients develop skills in coping, communication, relapse prevention, and self-advocacy.
- Maintain clear, respectful boundaries and adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality policies.
- Work collaboratively with counselors, case managers, and medical staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Document client interactions and progress accurately and in a timely manner.
- Promote and model wellness, recovery, and healthy lifestyle choices.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or related field (preferred).
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Strong understanding of 12-step and other recovery support models.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic health records.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
