**Job Description**:
**1. **Role Purpose**:

- Serve as a mentor to junior team members, sharing skills and knowledge to aid their development and responsibilities with the team
- Work with engineers, managers, and business users to validate and develop requirements.
- Ensure that projects/ change requests are delivered on time, to budget, and with the right quality, by taking part in design reviews, code deployment, systems testing and etc.
- Managing incident tickets raised for production issues, meeting required SLAs, and ensuring that tickets are resolved/completed successfully.

**2. **Major Job Functions**:
**a. **Responsibilities (Functional)**
- Provide functional design and configuration solutions in support of Experian’s global business processes
- Support the effort to build and update Experian’s global business processes
- Develop a deep understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Interact with Subject matter experts (SME) and Business users to understand business requirements and provide definitive solutions.
- Able to independently propose and deliver a solution based on business requirement.
- General understanding of other GCSS systems that interfaces into Experian’s Billing System.
- Conduct impact analysis of a change e.g. patches, scripts, data fixes and change requests
- Identify and suggest technical and functional process improvements
- Generation of test plans for patches/break fixes/change requests to ensure their comprehensiveness and relevance.
- Provide technical leadership to the team, providing technical design and direction to the team and ensuring that deliverables are of high quality and standards.
- Assist Manager to manage all development and operation work of the team.

**b. **Responsibilities (Technical)**
- Prepare Technical Designs (with guidance from technical lead) against requirements laid out in the Functional Design.
- Prepare Impact Analysis, Unit or UAT Test Plans, Deployment Instructions and any other documents required to complete any change releases.
- Work with Tech Lead and Manager for deployment and release of technical changes, in all environments (DEV to PRODUCTION)
- Communicate well with peers to develop a full understanding of all development or operational work.
- Support PRODUCTION issues, in aiding R&D, problem solving, and sharing of knowledge to continuously improve our service levels
- Perform peer reviews for stories delivered by team members

**c. **Responsibilities (Process)**
- Operate in a global DevOps environment, working to deliver Change Requests (CR) and resolution of PRODUCTION incidents concurrently
- Must be able to work in agile environment (Kanban) to deliver CR/ Projects depending on business requirements.
- Provide Peer approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs delivered by the delivery team
- Follow global processes for incident triage and resolution.
- Work independently with minimum supervision and guidance, to deliver project/ support tasks

**Qualifications**:

- Degree preferably in Computer Science/ Software Engineering or MIS.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, enhancing Java, J2EE, Javascript, HTML, Struts, Ajax, Hibernate programs.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, enhancing PL/SQL programs.
- Experience with Linux is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience with Tivoli Workload Scheduler is desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in Billing Systems is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Experience in version control and code management tools (BitBucket, Jenkins).
- Experience with incident, request and change tracking software (ServiceNow).
- Experience in Oracle DB performance tuning and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Preferably with working experience in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environment.
- Ability to handle conflicting priorities.
- Proven experience with offshore development and operations.
- Excellent Analytical skills.
- Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
