**Job Summary**:
The Reservation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the hotel’s reservations department to ensure maximum room revenue and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising the reservations team, ensuring accuracy in room bookings, optimizing room inventory, monitoring market trends, and maintaining strong relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients, and online distribution partners.
**Role & Responsibilities**:
**1)Reservations & Revenue Management**
- Oversee daily operations of the reservations team, ensuring prompt, accurate, and courteous handling of bookings.
- Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) by implementing effective yield and inventory management strategies.
- Ensure all reservations are entered accurately in the Property Management System (PMS).
- Coordinate closely with Sales & Marketing and Revenue teams to optimize pricing and promotions.
**2)Team Leadership & Training**
- Lead, coach, and motivate the reservations team to deliver excellent guest service.
- Develop training programs to enhance staff knowledge of reservation procedures, upselling techniques, and hotel offerings.
- Monitor team performance through KPIs (conversion rates, call handling, booking accuracy).
**3)Guest Relations & Service**
- Handle VIP, corporate, and group bookings with attention to detail and personalization.
- Resolve guest complaints or booking issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain strong relationships with repeat guests, corporate clients, OTAs, and travel agencies.
**4)Systems & Reporting**
- Maintain and update room inventory across all distribution channels via channel manager.
- Ensure all reservations policies, payment terms, and cancellation policies are strictly adhered to.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation and revenue reports for management review.
**5)Compliance & Standards**
- Ensure reservations practices comply with hotel brand standards and local regulations.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient workflow.
- Support audits and ensure data privacy compliance.
- **Qualifications**_
- Degree / Diploma in Hotel Management
- Strong knowledge of PMS, CRS, GDS, OTA extranets (e.g., Opera, SynXis, TravelClick, Siteminder).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and revenue opportunities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin is an added advantage.

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in hotel reservations or revenue management, preferably in a 5-star international hotel.
