By joining our team as an International Partnerships Manager you will be solely focused on supporting Manchester Metropolitan University while working in an environment of like-minded professionals supporting higher education institutions from around the world.
**Key Responsibilities**:
The post holder will be expected to represent Manchester Metropolitan University in a way that reflects the mission, values, and objectives of the university, and will be required to:
- Identify and support faculties in the development of relationships with international partners;
- Work closely with colleagues in the International Partnerships Team to enable a coordinated approach in providing day-to-day management support for existing partnerships;
- Undertake research on, and analysis of, opportunities for developing education partnerships in the East and South-East Asia regions with prospective partner institutions;
- Produce reports relating to specific country information which inform decision-making;
- Work closely with colleagues in the Directorate of External Relations and other Professional Services departments to ensure a coordinated approach to international partnerships activity across Manchester Metropolitan University;
- Work with colleagues in the International Partnerships Team and others to deliver cross-institution projects which underpin international partnerships activity as directed by the Head of International Partnerships and the Senior International Partnerships Manager;
- Represent the university on overseas visits, including attending events, meeting partners, and meeting funding organisations as a specialist to develop international partnerships; and
- Manage enquiries from potential and current overseas partners and staff.
- **Marketing & Communications**
- Develop content for the relevant internet and intranet pages for key international partners to facilitate the communication of key partnerships policy marketing messages and other key information that underpin the development of strategic overseas partners.
- **Liaison and Networking**
- Establish networks and build and maintain relationships across Manchester Metropolitan with key internal stakeholders in faculties and Professional Services. This will include working closely with Faculty Heads of International to build an in-depth understanding of Faculty business in order to establish cross-institutionsupport and buy-in for international partnerships activity;
- Identify external networks with organisations including potential university partners, government and non-government organisation with which to undertake active collaboration and, where possible, seek to influence; and
- Where appropriate, represent the University at high-profile UK and overseas meetings and events including British Council meetings, UUK International, to gather, interpret and distribute market intelligence.
- **Teamwork and Team Development**
- Contribute to the strategic development of Manchester Metropolitan international partnerships across the institution;
- Play a role in the development of the wider International Office and External Relations team;
- Actively contribute to a culture of high performance and customer service excellence across the International Office, acting as a role model to other colleagues in the team; and
- Demonstrate and promote professional standards and a collaborative style of working, encouraging the development of effective partnerships within the wider team, other administrative teams, and academic colleagues.
- **General**
- Produce reports and papers, including relevant financial and statistical analysis, concerning international strategic partnerships;
- Supporting the work of the University’s Internationalisation Committee and other committees/groups, including compiling reports on matters relating to international partnerships;
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date knowledge of immigration and Home Office regulations, government legislation, market trends, and other matters pertaining to international partnerships and internationalisation. Determine and advise on how these might be deployed to the benefit of university staff;
- Plan and deliver designated cross-office or cross-theme projects to support the activity of the International Office and External Relations team; and
- Undertake ad hoc activities or other occasional duties as required by the Director of the International Office, the Head of International Partnerships, and the Senior International Partnerships Manager commensurate with the level of the post.
This role will involve overseas travel within the designated regions and to the UK, dependent on the business need.
