Ev Technical Manager

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1.** **Technical Strategy and Planning**
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for EV technology and product offerings, aligning with market demands and trends.
- Manage the budget and resource allocation for EV technology initiatives and research.
- Continuously evaluate new EV models and technologies to expand the product portfolio.
- Stay informed about market trends, customer feedback, and emerging EV technologies to make informed decisions.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement, including software updates and feature enhancements.

**2. Compliance, Regulations, Quality Assurance and Safety Protocols**
- Ensure that imported vehicles comply with local safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure that imported EVs adhere to local emissions, safety, and technical regulations.
- Oversee the configuration of imported EVs to meet local market requirements and standards.
- Facilitate certification processes for imported EV models.
- Implement quality control measures for imported EVs, including pre-delivery inspections.
- Develop and execute testing protocols to ensure the reliability and safety of EVs.
- Ensure imported EVs meet safety standards and protocols, and provide guidance on safety practices.
- Offer training and guidance to the technical team on safety measures.

**3. Technical Support and Customer Experience**
- Recruit and manage a technical team specialised in EV technology and maintenance.
- Provide training to sales and service teams to enhance product knowledge and technical expertise.
- Manage and facilitate warranty claims and repairs for imported EVs.
- Able to advise on charging systems, including fast-charging solutions and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and service departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to enhance the overall EV ownership experience.
- Offer technical support to customers for EV-related inquiries and issues.

**4. Documentation, Reporting and Technical Issue Resolution**
- Generate regular reports on the performance and quality of imported EVs.
- Maintain comprehensive records of imported EVs' technical specifications, compliance, and service history.
- Address and resolve technical challenges and issues encountered with imported EVs.
- Support field technicians in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.

**5. Supply Chain & Inventory Management and Cost Control**
- Manage the logistics of importing EVs, including inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with EV component suppliers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective components.
- Monitor costs related to importing and maintaining EVs to optimise operational efficiency.
- Establish feedback loops and continuous improvement processes to enhance the quality of imported EVs.

**6. Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives**
- Promote sustainable practices, such as recycling and responsible disposal of EV components.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’ Degree in any disciplines
- Minimum 7 years of experience in related to the technical field and well verse in automotive industry (speciality in electric vehicle)
- Bahasa Melayu, English & Mandarin speaking
- Experience with or knowledge of electric vehicle technologies
- Strong technical knowledge of EV charging systems and infrastructure
- Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
