Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling and cooking techniques.
- Prepare and cook menu items, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage kitchen schedules and staff assignments.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
- Handle food costs and assist in maintaining a budget.
- Address any kitchen-related issues or staff conflicts promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
