DESCRIPTION
This position will be based in Malaysia, KL Eco City.
Primary responsibilities:
- Manages and establishes priorities for maintenance, design, development and analysis of our entire infrastructure landscape (cloud, server, storage, network, security) with focus on quality of services.
- Supervise local team and vendor to lead, direct and utilize knowledge on best practices in area related to infrastructure and service management. Assures service management for hosting, and third-party service providers.
- Responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Configuration and Release Management for IT operations, aligned with ITSM best practices.
- Ensure a sustainable Problem-management, Availability & Capacity Management.
- Support the business operation strategy and recommend modifications as appropriate; Conducts capacity planning and overall asset management.
- Ensures audit and compliance reviews by implementing processes and procedures.
- Ensures continuous delivery of IT services, monitoring of IT systems performance and taking an active role in security reviews.
- Oversee and document policies/procedures to meet required Service Level Agreements.
Secondary responsibilities
- Complies at all times with the Environment, Health and Safety and company policies, standards, rules and regulations.
- Executes goals and objectives established by senior IT leadership.
- Participates in strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing of IT initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost
- effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources.
- Close collaboration with peers and other cross functional departments.
- Management of external contractors and consultants.
- Budget planning and controlling including regular forecast.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
- Good technical understanding of responsible area and certifications desirable. ITIL, Network architecture, and Cloud systems such as Office 365, Azure and AWS.
- Good understanding of end-user computing, infrastructure and security operations.
- Proven customer service, good verbal communication skills, process improvement, problem solving, teamwork, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated partnering and collaboration skills.
- Experiences in operations dashboards and analytics.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Highly driven, self-managed, self-initiative who proactively seeks solutions to problems.
- Prior ownership of the operation of a mission-critical team.
