Main Duties:

- Manage all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
- Able to develop, designs, or creates new ideas and items for pastry kitchen.
- Create new desserts to renew menus and engage the interest of customers.
- Ensure excellent quality and flavour.
- Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
- Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings, and ensure the food presentation are beautiful and satisfactory to the eye.
- Ensures that the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure the standards are met.
- Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar and make appropriate orders within budget.
- Prepares festive menus and seasonal offerings.
- Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Ensuring culinary standards and responsibilities are met for pastry team.
- Discuss with marketing team on the product direction and suitability for the company branding.

Job requirements:

- Preferable pastry chef with a minimum of 3 years experience and has sense of creativity.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, ability to speak in other languages would be an added advantage.
- Must be positively spirited and passionate about pastries and be committed to deliver an amazing food experience for our customers
- Has a good-work ethic, punctual and able to work independently.
- Possess good management and organizations skills.
- Ability working in a high-pressure and fast pace environment.
- Professional training/education certificate in culinary would be an added advantage.
- Able to communicate clearly, professionally and work collaboratively with other superior and subordinates in the pursuit of team goals.
- Must have an applicable knowledge appropriate to the level of position regarding all aspects relative of food handling procedures, food ingredients and recipes, and safety procedure.

**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
