Coordinate and manage all aspects of product development from concept to product commercialization across the group of all airline operating countries under SANTAN AirAsia.
- Plan and execute product development calendar across the group base on company / departmental goals, sales analysis, marketing strategies, customer trend and feedback.
- Communicate with respective country in-flight representatives to brief and synchronize the in-flight menu plan across the group, which includes sharing of recipes and specifications on new products.
- Conduct on-board and on-ground testing for new products and carry out evaluation sessions for existing products every day to ensure quality and consistency.
- Work closely with quality assurance, commercial, marketing and other relevant departments to develop the in-flight and pre-book menu which includes photo shoot, food styling, write and proofread menu description, menu design and layout.
- Work closely with quality assurance, commercial, marketing and other relevant departments in launching of new products, brief and train Flight Attendants on the new menus, coordinate food sampling events and review product performance after launch.
- Establish documentation for existing and new product specification, process flow and recipe; conduct product verification every month to ensure that the suppliers adhere to the specification / process flow given.
- Propose pricing strategies for on-board menu and identify cost reduction opportunities across the group whilst maintaining quality of food products.
- Keep self-abreast with new airline food trend by attending relevant airline / F&B related exhibitions and expo in various countries.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements of all suppliers. Support relevant quality assurance responsibilities when required.
