Job Overview:
The IT Pre-Sales Consultant works closely with the sales and technical teams to provide in-depth technical support and consultancy to potential clients. The role is pivotal in defining the right solutions, preparing proposals, and ensuring that the technical needs of customers are met while aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Solution Design & Technical Support:

- Understand client business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop customized IT solutions (hardware, software, network, cloud, etc.) that address client challenges.
- Provide in-depth knowledge and demonstrations of IT products and services.
- Client Engagement:

- Attend client meetings and presentations with the sales team to understand requirements and explain potential solutions.
- Build and maintain client relationships by acting as a trusted technical advisor.
- Conduct discovery sessions, scoping calls, and technical workshops to gather client requirements.
- Proposal Development:

- Create detailed proposals, including technical specifications, pricing, and service terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop the best approach to solve the client’s challenges.
- Product Demonstrations:

- Perform live or remote product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of potential clients.
- Prepare technical proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot implementations to show the value of the solutions.
- Technical Expertise:

- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, software, and security.
- Provide thought leadership and insights on new technologies relevant to the clients’ businesses.
- Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with the sales team, ensuring the technical solutions proposed are feasible and align with the customer’s requirements.
- Liaise with post-sales teams to ensure smooth implementation and client satisfaction after sales closure.
- Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation, including proposals, technical requirements, and project timelines.
- Prepare reports on the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including feedback on customer needs and solution enhancements.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Educational Background:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of networking, cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.), software systems, cybersecurity, and databases.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and proposal tools.
- Sales & Communication Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to present solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Strong customer-facing skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

- Ability to assess client requirements, identify gaps, and propose appropriate IT solutions.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
