Key Responsibilities

  1. Project & Technical Management

  2. Manage M&E project execution including documentation, technical studies, defect management, and project handover.

  3. Coordinate design development with consultants and users to meet functional and technical requirements.
  4. Review technical proposals, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with standards and user needs.

  5. Quality & Compliance

  6. Oversee testing and inspection of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with method statements and specifications.

  7. Monitor and verify Testing & Commissioning progress, ensure timely completion and authority compliance.
  8. Support submission and approval processes with relevant local authorities.

  9. Resource & Cost Control

  10. Plan and monitor manpower, equipment, and material resources in line with project budgets.

  11. Prepare and verify progress claims and subcontractor claims.

  12. Site Management & Coordination

  13. Attend coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

  14. Supervise site works to ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and safety standards.
  15. Lead the M&E team in executing project objectives and resolving technical issues.

  16. Post-Completion & Maintenance

  17. Oversee general maintenance and defect rectification works after CPC (Certificate of Practical Completion).

  18. Liaise with authorities and users during final inspection and handover.

  19. Ad Hoc Tasks

  20. Carry out additional duties assigned by top management.

Job Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  2. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering design and project implementation
  3. Strong track record in major development projects, preferably with consulting firm experience
  4. Willing to be based in Johor Bahru and travel or work overseas when required
  5. Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) for coordination with Mandarin-speaking teams
  6. Able to communicate confidently and work well within multi-disciplinary teams
  7. Familiar with mechanical design software and project management tools (e.g. AutoCAD, MS Project)
  8. Knowledgeable in local codes, authority requirements, and submission processes
  9. Able to work independently with high standards and accuracy under tight timelines
  10. Experience in supervising subcontractors and suppliers, and coordinating site works
  11. Basic understanding of electrical systems and contracting is an added advantage
  12. Good in project supervision, change management, and reporting
