Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Engineer to lead and optimize our manufacturing engineering activities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring efficient, high-quality production operations in a precision cutting tools environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily manufacturing engineering operations to ensure smooth and efficient production.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, workflows, and plant layouts for enhanced efficiency.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by coordinating process readiness and ensuring seamless transition to production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and other process improvement methodologies across the production floor.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, providing technical support and training.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout all engineering activities.
  • Prepare and present reports on process improvements, production metrics, and project outcomes to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in precision tooling or machining.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools.
  • Proven experience in NPI and process development.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC machining and precision cutting tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Certification in Lean/Six Sigma is a plus.
